A weekend in the country

I would come to you, again
in the moonlight.
and steal you from the dream
where things you thought, and things you said
meant more than they should mean

I would walk with you, again
across the plaza hand in hand
and I’d fall into your arms
where your revelations, became my temptation
I surrendered to your charm

I got a full dose of you,
It was the medicine I needed.

So I will bear in silence with you
one comedie di arte
where our chances will be made or broken
if truth, and words are left unspoken
or unfaced

damit mio cuore, face what you want, say what you want
What do you want? What do you want? you know it say it,
it's right here for you.
and screw everyone else’s opinion, mine, his, (y)our friends
let them all be damned
if they can not accept that you wont live your life
exactly as they had planned.

I can not seem to break away
so I will wait for your return
I will hold you as you cry
and I will deal with it when you're mad
I know to hurt another soul
will make(s) you feel so sad

But I will be there in the moonlight
How could I ever resist, the
welcome of your sweet embrace
you fit there in my arms and you know it
so take that smart ass look off your glorious face.

I still don’t know how we got here
You ran, and then we caught each other,
and I don’t intend on losing you
To a weekend in the country.
